The T4 bacteriophage genome was sequenced in North Carolina State University, Departament of Microbiology, USA Raleigh and at The Evergreen State College, USA, Olympia (completed at 1999/07/05). Genome,which is double stranded DNA, sequence of 168 903 bp encodes 288 genes.
